The Rays have agreed to terms with both Johnny Damon and Manny Ramirez, tweets Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated. Damon's deal is worth $5.25MM plus a potential $750K in bonus money based on attendance. Ramirez's deal is worth $2MM

I would've preferred Manny to Napoli, but I guess getting rid of VDubs massive deal was more important. I woulda signed Manny anyways though, especially at 2M per, but it's too late now.

I told you lunatics there wasn't a snowballs chance in hell that Manny would sign for 10 million dollars... Though admitedly, 2 million is less than even I thought he'd get... I was thinking he might get 5-6 total, including incentives and such... but I can remember several people alright with 2 years, 20 million, WOW.

There is now a wiretap saying that the deal for Manny isn't done and that the Rangers and Toronto still have interest. Is there still hope?

I think that was old, before the Manny deal was officially announced.

A lot of places were saying that the Jays might be looking at Vlad Guerrero but it sounds like mostly speculation.

Jesus H Christ. At 2mil with incentives how weren't there 29 other teams fighting for that deal? That's 4th OF money for chrissakes.

At double that price I can't understand how it's not worth the gamble for Manny. I just can't. Maybe if he's being George Bell about playing LF every day, which I haven't heard anywhere, but that can't be if they're getting Damon and Manny, so I just don't get it.

don't understand why everyone's drooling over Manny. Dude is old, injury prone, and is it night games or day games that he refuses to play in?
