not really a feel-good article, is it?

Aaron Hill took the field Tuesday afternoon with one final admonishment in his ears – this one from general manager Alex Anthopoulos. In two words: “Go easy.”

Judging from Hill’s demeanour, following the Toronto Blue Jays brain trust’s orders to the max hurt more than the tight right quadriceps muscle that has hampered him this spring.

Geez Louise, that's the most ominously depressing column I've ever read.

Who's second in the depth chart at second besides Johnny Mac? Lawrie? Hech? Who was that JP-drafted disaster (forgot his name)? Is he still kicking around somewhere?

And of course, IIRC O-Dawg was available this offseason.

Emaus got Rule-5'd to the Mets right?

Russ Adams lol. I'll never forget that stretch he put together a couple years ago where he literaly forgot how to field the ball.

I assume that it would be J Mac if its short term and Lawrie if its long term.

Yeah, Russ Adams. That's the guy I wanted to forget.

It seems to me that we're putting a lot of stress on our young pitching staff by having a hobbled 2nd baseman with no range, non-specialists at the infield corners, and a rookie catcher who is still learning his trade offensively and defensively and for whom "there is no plan B".

I don't wanna worry about the Jays, but I'm starting to worry.
