They are talking that Bubba Starling (spelling?) could slip down a bit as he's got Boras as his agent and may be looking for $5-6 million to sign. He's a freak athlete and also has a football scholorship on the table. I was watching video of his swing the other day and it looks very nice. Kind of has a Jeter type look about him at the plate.
I wonder if he slipped to 21 would be take a stab at him. Seems to me the fortune we saved on Wells would be very useful in securing the best HS position player in the draft. Would be remininiscent of the Shawn Green snag we had many years back when Beaston flew to the guys house to help talk him into signing. Anyways, 21 is a long drop, but who knows if everyone if scared off the money. Something to keep our eye on.

Damn, Tampa Bay with so many comp picks. Jays are up there too...how is the order of the comp pick chosen?

Thanks. Looks like there's a ton of talent available, good thing we have all those comp picks.
