Travis Snider, reclaimation project?

That's how Blair is categorizing him now. He said this today on his show after interviewing Eric Thames. Basically he said that this would have been the perfect opportunity to bring Snider back up, but that Thames has just passed him in the pecking order and is now seen by the organization as a bigger part of the future. I'm growing more pessimistic about Snider by the day. I think he'll play in the league, but maybe he won't ever be that middle of the lineup bat. Thoughts?

He just needs a chance to start without ever having the doubt to going back to the minors. Maybe if we had kept him up in the majors even after the miserable 99 AB without a hit or whatever it was, maybe something would've clicked and he would've started raking again. He's only like what now 22-23. He still has time to become what many experts think he'll become someday. What's his ceiling by the way ?

He was fine last season. Then the organization changed his stance in spring training, and six weeks later sent him down to change it again. He's still a very good prospect, just one who has been endlessly **** around; he'll be fine so long as we stop yo-yoing him.

Agreed. The organization is totally mismanaging him. If you expect him to be a main cog in a year or 2, commit to him now and let him play it out. Nothing like a vote of confidence...

Never listen to a word Jeff Blair says.
