Yep. If I'm the Jays, though, I take this chance to start platooning Patterson with Davis. Snider and Thames should never get benched for either of them.

Pretty much, if by end game, you mean our lineup in September (though D'Arnaud won't be ready until at least mid-season 2012).

Thames should continue to be given full-time ABs, obviously. He may yet prove that he's more than a platoon bat. Eventually pitchers will stop throwing him so many fastballs, though, and he'll have to adjust. When that happens, we'll better be able to evaluate what he's going to do for this team in the future.

Also, still not sure whether this Snider-CF talk is legit or not.

Lawrie would probably hit between Lind/Snider to split up the lefties.

There's a decent - and growing - chance that d'Arnaud breaks with the big club to start 2012, IMO. By the accounts I've read, his defense is there already, and offensively he's been outstanding at AA, especially for a catcher. I see him getting a month or two at AAA to end this year, and if he has a good spring training...

I have two amendments to make to your lineup, which has me drooling:

1) I'm thinking that one of Patterson/Davis is gone, with the other being the 4th outfielder; they would platoon in CF with Snider as Thames goes between LF and DH.

2) I'm guessing they tossed Arencibia to the wolves this year because we are so deep at catcher and we'd rather get his ABs up before the rest of the talent makes it's way through. If d'Arnaud shows he's ready next year, we bring him up and platoon him and JPA, with JPA's "off" days spent @ DH (and Thames in LF).

I'm saying they keep Davis, so with that in mind, we have:
