Blue Jays have UGLY jersey

seriously... the logo sucks, the colors suck and the overall design like the font and numbers sucks. Its looks like they are trying to appeal to little children!
plus what the hel are the Jays doing in black?....., and whats up with the shiny silver color?

Jays need to go retro..... something like the Alomar days

I can see all kinds of celebs sporting this look on tv....... not that black crap

yup - i do agree with this.. a lot of teams still wear the same jerseys from 20 years ago.. while the Jays have gone through radical changes.. i like to have some sort of consistent identity.

i'm trying to think of the top of my head at any other team (AL only) that has come close to the radical changes like the Jays.. any ideas? TB shouldn't count.

if they wanted a change fine....... but the new logo and font look childish
its like a kids team look...... little kids

with that old jersey, it appeal to more people. I can see celebs wearing it on tv and rappers in their videos......... it looks good

what the hell were they thinking by changing the to whole NEW logo and a black color scheme?.... worst is the font, like the numbers on the back

someone should have been fired when that idea even came up.

Widely expected is that the Jays will be returning to their roots for next season as far as their jersey is considered hoping to coincide with contention.

hope so.. however i heard that they wanted to get away from their retro jerseys this year because they wanted to stop looking back, and want to look forward. They also stopped the Flashback Friday promotions too as a result.

I have the new logo jersey (a Bautista one that I bought opening night), but I agree, I was never a fan of that logo change. Good franchises keep their logos the same, especially if there is a history there. I don't know why they changed it in the late-90's. No need to.

here's their history of logos/jerseys http://www.sportslogos.net/team.php?t=78. it's ridiculous how much change there is.. compare that to the red sox (http://www.sportslogos.net/team.php?id=53). They have *much* less, and their franchise started way back in 1908..

My personal favorite and what I wish we would go back to is the flexing t-bird logo. One of the most creative logos I've ever seen.

Yeah, but their logo from the 50s is possibly the most cringe-inducing thing I have ever seen.

As an aside, the '97-'02 Jays logo looks like it should be one of those pictures that you can focus on differently and see different things (from the eye, going right) but it never ends up making sense.

The jerseys are fine everyone is such whiners. People are always going to hate on a design no matter how good it looks SOMEONE will complain. It's the same on the Raptors board. People should be glad we have nice designs as compared to other teams jerseys and don't mess with what works.

most other teams have a better design than the Jays.... you'll get that response from most Jays fans.
....... also since the JAYS are apprently redoing their image next season, I think they realize this too now.

The Alomar jersey up there, is on par with the best designs in the MLB..... like Boston, Philly, NYY, LAD etc....

They're not great, but they're fine to me. I don't like the logos at all and wouldn't buy one of the newer hats.

I just hate the font on the back of the black and white uniforms. If they changed all font to that on the grey uniforms, I think I would like it a lot better.
