Roster Move: Jo Jo Reyes designated for assignment, LHP Wilfredo Ledezma has contract selected
http://twitter.com/#!/BlueJays/status/94817865592619009Reyes, 26, posted a 5.40 ERA in 110 innings across 20 starts this season. He struck out 5.2 batters per nine innings while walking 2.9 per nine. Opponents hit .306 off of him, the highest batting average against in baseball. Ledezma pitched to a 4.63 ERA in 46 2/3 relief innings for Toronto's Triple-A affiliate, though he struck out 63 while walking just 18 during that time.

Ledezma is a surprise thou. I guess we can consider Mills as 100% out of the organization's plans.

Ledezma sounds like a placeholder while AA works through the trade deadline.

And the chances of seeing McCoy pitch again this season have just taken a huge hit. Damn.
Despite the array of brilliant moves, I was beginning to lose faith in AA over Reyes. Finally he makes the obvious and long overdo move.
Despite his performance, I wish JoJo well as he seems like an upstanding guy. Hopefully he can pull it together in the minors and get another shot.
Wil Ledezma? Yet another slap in the face to Brad Mills.

I'm still a little surprised they didn't give him a go as a reliever, but whatever I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. It'll be interesting to see who replaces him.
