If Snider or Thames get sent down today,...

they should just trade them. This is ridiculous what AA is doing with these two young guys, the constant unwarranted yo-yoing of them is absurd. I honestly do not understand this move. I was against the Rasmus move in the first place because he wasn't a pressing need, but since we got him for such a bargain, I was good with it, but the core of the future should include Thames, Snider, Lawrie and Rasmus. Neither Thames nor Travis has done anything to warrant being sent down yet again.

If they're going to be making call-ups today, it will be after the game. Snider/Thames are not safe yet.

Even if the MRI is negative , they should still put CV on the 15 day dl ,use his roster spot to call up lawrie and then wait until CV's spot in the rotation next week to decide on roster moves to call up Alvarez.

Uhmmwhat? Thames was sent down once. He's obviously played well enough to be on the roster but I don't think it's some massive disservice to send him down until September if the team really believes now is the right time to bring Lawrie up.

Just DFA Teahen and platoon Thames/EE/Snider. Teahen is a waste of money either way.

This is what I would do. They can't waste a roster spot on Teahen in a contending year in 2012, anyway, so you might as well DFA him now.

Teahan can be traded this winter as cash offset for taking on a useful but overpaid player from a financially strapped team, i.e. trade a player who will get $30m over the 2012 and 2013 season but is worth half that - still useful - and force that team to take on Teahan. I wouldn't DFA him because then his $5.5m becomes stranded money.

The team could pay some of the incoming salary we receive in that case. We don''t need a player or salary to send back.

It's not worth wasting a roster spot throughout the rest of the month. It may not seem like much, but Thames and Snider need consistent PT, and they need it before the September call up's water down the competition level.

I don't think he should be sent down, but it's painful watching him right now. 1 walk in 25 games. No power.

Jesus **** christ

Why the **** did they send Snider back down ?

This has to be confirmation that they no longer see him in their future plans.

If not, then this is a huge **** mistake

Travis Snider needs to be traded at this point... its best for both sides

even if he wont get you much at this point.... dont screw up the guy's career

and then I hope he becomes a solid player for who'm ever he plays for.... Always liked him. Still think he has a ton of potential
