i dont think the title of the list is correct. it's more about players most appealing to fans, meaning most likable. the likes of jeter and a-rod didn't make it b/c there are way too many yankee haters out there (but somehow mariano rivera escaped). even non-baseball watchers know who jeter and a-rod are from tabloids and such
