can't remember the COMPLETE story, but it had something to do with him taking the dirt from the SkyDome mound when he was younger, and made a promise that when he makes it back to the big leagues, he's going to return the dirt back to the mound.

Going to the game Wednesday. First game of the season! Pretty excited for that.

1:1 odds our silly manager puts Lawrie in the 9 hole again. Any takers?

I hope Johnnie Mac starts at 2nd. I don't know if I can sit through another game of Aaron Hill and his .597 OPS (3rd worst in the majors for players who qualify. Ahead of only Orlando Cabrera and Alex Rios).

Tonight's lineup:

SS- Escobar
LF- Thames
RF- Bautista
1B- Lind
DH- Encarnacion
CF- Rasmus
2B- Hill
C - Arencibia
3B- Lawrie


Lawrie should be batting 7th (at the very least). Anyone else agree?

It's clearly not ideal for him to be in the 9 hole, but where would he be best? 2 or 3? 5 or 6?

I like this for now, could change depending on how Lawrie settles in:

Lawrie

Hill

Terrifying if we could add Fielder to the 4 hole (Lind 6th), etc. I want to believe.

I hate seeing Hill in the lineup period, much less with him guaranteed to get as many if not more plate appearances than Lawrie/Arencibia

That said, the upside is if Lawrie is getting on base, it's with Escobar hitting behind him instead of Hill.
