Lawrie destined for the outfield?

Now you know why Blue Jays third baseman Brett Lawrie was my pick for AL Rookie of the Year.
The sample obviously is small, but few doubt that Lawrie is going to hit. Some rival executives, however, believe that he is too “tight” physically to stay at third – unlike say, Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson, who was loose-limbed and had easy actions. One of those execs predicts that Lawrie, like the Brewers’ Ryan Braun, could move from third to left field.
Perhaps, but Lawrie looks good defensively thus far, especially considering that he began playing third only this season. He agreed to try catching after the Brewers made him the 16th overall pick in 2008, then asked to move to second to hasten his rise to the majors.
The Brewers might regret trading Lawrie for right-hander Shaun Marcum, but not if they win the NL Central. Marcum is 10-3 with a 3.62 ERA. Lawrie seems destined to become the Jays’ first Canadian star. Good deal for both clubs.

I dunno, from what i've seen most his problems have to do with his footwork and that shouldn't be too hard for him to fix. He's got a great arm and range so I really think he could work at 3rd and be good there.
I guess the worst case scenario is we move Bautisa back to 3rd and Lawrie into the outfield.

I think his future is at 3B. He has the agility, range and arm to play there. With some practice he can be a good defensive 3B.

Dude, I don't think the Brewers will have trouble sleeping at night, one of the better trades made last year.

He's looking sharper lately. We need to give him a long leash there, nothing to lose.

from what i heard on FAN590 atleast, its his throwing range thats the issue..... his arm is a canon but he has issues being accurate to 1st base.
other than that he seems to have the tools to stop any ball at 3B.
just from what I heard yesterday

Lets at least give him the chance to fail. He has a good arm, it will just be mechanics on that end, real issue is range which looks fine to me. He just needs experience there. With his bat, he just needs to be adequate there. This team has much more pressing issues than this.

He has been good there lately. He should at least stick there for a few more years...hopefully longer than that.

He's too tight at 3rd???
As far as defensively, Lawrie has done at least a satisfactory job. As far as Jays needs, Lawrie fills them.
We have an abundance of players in the outfield.
To see the Jays develop Lawrie as a third basemen , I can't see Lawrie being moved.
