Aaron Hill/John McDonald Traded

#BlueJays general manager Alex Anthopoulos is holding a press conference at 3:30 p.m.-Crasnick

It can't be a minor move, those are announced through a press release by some low level PR guy. I'm guessing this has something to do with Wandy Rodriguez, maybe the Jays are the team that claimed him and Alex might announce that we worked out a deal

Also read an unsubstantiated rumor on another forum that a trade with Arizona was in the works possibly involving Aaron Hill, John McDonald and Kelly Johnson.

On the fan590 they are speculating that the Jays have picked up Wandy Rodriguez.

edit: they just announced on fan590 the deal mentioned in the post above. So maybe the Wandy move to T-Dot isn't happening (guessing)

If it was regarding AA's contract extension wouldn't it be Paul Beeston or the Blue Jays that announce the press conference, not AA himself.

Another source has contacted the fan590 and states that Wandy has been traded to the Nationals.
So we'll see which rumor is right as far as Rodriqguez is concerned, but it looks like the Hill/McD to D-backs is pretty much done deal.

Dissapointed to see Johnny Mac go. Not so much because of baseball, just because he's such an upstanding person.

Aaron not so much. Nothing personal, just hoping a change of scenery will help him turn it around.
