Travis Snider essentially done for season with tendinitis in right wrist. Needs 4-6 weeks of rest.
http://twitter.com/#!/ShiDavidi/status/ ... 2977373184Snider had this to say on Twitter:
I will not break. I promise you that. I will miss you all and can't say how thankful I am for your support on this journey. #keepthefaith
https://twitter.com/#!/Lunchboxhero45/s ... 3021157376Might not be the worst thing to happen. Maybe he can clear his head and start over fresh next season. Might even explain some of his woes at the plate this season.

For his sake they should try to move him after this season. I don't think he's ever going to get much burn here with all that's gone on so might as well try to get something out of it in return.

Why? I'm not against the idea of trading him, but you won't get any kind of value for this season and what stops him from getting another shot on the Jays next year? Yes, it's a more competitive roster and he'll have to earn it, but if you think Snider has already worn out his welcome or reached failed prospect status, then I just fundamentally disagree.
Again, in the right deal I'd trade him no problem, mostly because I'd trade anyone for the right deal, but Snider would be very very low on my list of commodities to try and move this offseason simply because you're giving another team an AA type possibility where the cost would be so low they'd have nothing to lose acquiring him. I'd rather role the dice and risk him totally flopping than get back what I think is likely to be a fairly mediocre return.
Now if he was a necessary part of a larger blockbuster type deal, I wouldn't hold him back like an untouchable prospect the way I might've a year or two ago, but I doubt he'll be the guy the other GM has to have included if such a deal is to be had.

What a disaster Snider has become.
