win win situation. jays win ok fine. rays win, sox potentially have a disaster melt-down and the sh*tstorm in boston commences.

Tampa has not been playing that well either, the only team they can beat is Boston right now. 4-6 last 10 games, so bad. 7-3 record would put them in the lead. The need to sweep this to have a chance.

I kind of want the Rays to sweep us, but it's very hard to see that happening. They probably wasted their opportunity to come back against the Yankees.

Jays need to win two of their remaining six to finish .500 on the year.

I can't believe after the type of things the Jays had to deal with this season (Rivera/Patterson/Nix/Davis in the starting lineup for an extended period of time, Reyes and Drabek having 34 starts, John Farrell managing) that the club still has a chance to finish .500 or better in the AL East. It'll be tough, since I suspect the Rays will sweep here, but even having a shot is pretty good. If Jose Bautista did not turn into an MVP candidate, I shudder to think where this team would be.

I hope the Rays take two of three, with Romero getting the win.

I'm okay with Jays winning two of three as long as it's on the back of a Morrow no-hitter ;) Cecil I don't give two **** about, and don't care if he gets roughed up.

My haterade for Boston >> than that for the Rays.

Can't worry about draft picks like that imo.

Hoping for Yankees to take 2 of 3 against the Red Sox and we beat the Rays 2 of 3 but realistically 1 of 3 is most likely.

Yeah, I'm with distracted; I don't care about Cecil. Actually, no, that's not true, I kinda hope he gets shellacked and we send him down so he can work out whatever the hell is wrong with him most of next year. I'd love to see Morrow dominate tonight and Ricky get a W, play spoiler a bit and have some fun. :D

Cecil is the guy I'd like to see dropped from the rotation next year in favour of a FA/trade where at least a top 2 rotation guy comes in to complement Romero at the top.

Not that Cecil is a particularly bad pitcher, but his peripherals have never been that strong and Alvarez/McGowan have front of the rotation type of ability.

Thames has to learn to lay off that high fastball.

David Price has a ridiculous fastball. And he appears to be commanding it today.

Yeah. He starts throwing 92mph and then brings out the 97mph fastball on command out of nowhere. Nasty stuff.

Morrow throws a cutter now...it looks like an effective pitch for him.

The cutter and sinker really helped Halladay, remember? He used to throw like 95 mph ish, and then he took a little off and started using pitches with a lot more movement and we all saw how that worked out...
