Yu Darvish to be posted next week

Let's see what happens. Although we all really like him, the Jays have made comments about lukewarm interest. We can hope that AA opens the purse strings.

Well, if the Jays sign a significant free agent this off-season, Darvish is the only real possibility given the circumstances around him (i.e. potential to generate money via Japan, etc). Highly doubt it though. I was much more optimistic about the Jays being interested in him two months ago. I'm not seeing it now. He'll probably end up in New York or Texas.

I hope we at least make a strong bid.
Because of the process, and the teams they are up against, I can't blame them if they don't have the winning bid, but if he gets posted for less than $50 million, I'll be disappointed.

I hope the Jays make a strong bid as well. Darvish is the only "major" FA I thought the Jays would target. We definitely aren't getting Fielder/Reyes/Pujols.

Reyes looks like he'd going to the Marlins for 6yr/$111m, which is a little less than I thought it would take
