For those who aren't listening, you should tune in. He's taking them to task. Best line thus far "The Blue Jays have not played a meaningful game in September since 1993, and that's pathetic."

Also, Alex Anthopoulos will be on Prime Time Sports at 6pm EST tonight.

tempted to lock this simply because Bobcat can't properly dissect any of this city's professional sports in a manner that is thoughtful or relevant.

sorry, but this website's discussions >>>> Robert McCowan

I'm watching on Sportsnet and reading the forum at the same time and these guys aren't really having a meaningful discussion. They're just killing time and going over the basics that everyone already knows.

and this is the tower of cards McCowan's managed to build his career on. he talks about fluff.

my fave was when Andrea was a rookie. started off with "this guy's a dud!" to, when he started to do well, he changed his tune and was getting excited.
then, 2nd season started and Andrea got off to a bad start. "he's a dud!". talk about a flip flop pancakeman

McCown is one of the few people that can actually criticize Rogers and the Jays and get away with it. The rest of the press in Toronto is so guarded because they are either employed by Rogers or could be employed later.

I'm sorry, where did I proclaim Bobcat was an authority on MLB, or any sport for that matter? He is a fan. He has a fans perspective. Bobcat has also been speaking to fans since 1977, so he's usually pretty in tune with how the average fan is feeling.

Also, like Randle said, he's not afraid to criticize his boss, along with their ball club. Excuse me for appreciating someone who has the nads to tell it like it is, and not care what others think. His type are few and far between in the Media.

I swear this is a total 180 for you Yogi. You always defended Bobcat in the past no? Said you met him at a party or something and he was a cool guy.

And yes Bobcat is the only guy who can get away with criticizing Rogers but even he knows his limits. Rogers employing half the journalists in this city really is a conflict of interest.

oh, he's a supernice guy. very personable. you can tell that he's loved and how he climbed as high as he did.

doesn't mean he does a great job in analysing sports. he tries to be sensational and a rankler.

i only really dig his chitter chatter and when he talks about the business of sports. otherwise, he never adds anything.

I like bobcat quite a bit. Even if he bloviates here and there, he knows how to engage others and lead them to dish. I listen more than I do to Stellick etc...

MLSE nobody in the city cares about them etc.
