Gone to the Mets for 2 yr/$12 million.
Phew, Rogers dodged a bullet there.
Rauch and Francisco go on the same night... to the same team... epic.
I guess the Mets never watched a Jays' game.

Frankie Frank 2 years 12 mil
Santos 3 years 8.75.......
That contract is worth a prospect itself.

Francisco should do much better in a more pitcher friendly park and in the National League.

Not from the Mets...two picks are created out of thin air for us.

Mets buy high in Rauch and Francisco. Nice. Is Bernie Madoff still handling their investment portfolio??

One for each of Rauch and Francisco, two total...they'll be in the sandwich round immediately following the first round.

Our draft cap should be increased based on the number of sandwich picks we gain?

Can we expect Santos to be a significant improvement on Francisco?

Thanks, sounds good. Add a few prospect next year. Kelly Johnson will be cleared up tonight. What are the chances one of the teams that are after Puljos trade for Lind if jays are serious about Fielder?
I like the trade they pulled off and adding two more picks and figuring out 2nd base will be the next big thing

Interesting fact. After letting go of Franciso, we've now rid ourselves of 7 of our top 10 highest paid players from last season.
I believe Mathis is now our 7th highest paid player.
I would say that this puts us roughly within 3-4 mil of the Pirates payroll.

I like how Teahen is our 2nd highest paid player.

Why not have just resigned Francisco. He was solid and at 12 million for 2 years seems reasonable. He will be solid for the Mets. Jays shoulda kept him at that price. He wouldst fined out the bullpen.

I don't understand the dislike for Frankie. He's got great stuff, a great track record, and had a pretty good year. Dealt with injuries and had a rough patch but he's a damn good pitcher. Jeez, you throw one chair and your reputation is out the window...
