Would they run this franchise any differently then Rogers?

Is this a serious question?

They would be less patient and less cheap, I suspect.
But MLSE is proving with the Raptors that they're at least capable of patiently waiting through a rebuild (knock on wood). Rogers hasn't proven it's willing to spend money.

One thing MLSE has proven is their willing to spend whatever it takes with the Raps and Leafs
granted they don't want to pay the luxury tax but you can't really blame them. They've just
had stupid GM's in their history spend their money on complete junk for the most part and
on the Raptors side especially run the team into the ground.
MLSE might be a lot of things but you can't accuse them of being cheap.

You can't compare the two of course the Leafs can spend their brains out they are stupidly profitable you can bet that if for one second MLSE thought that a move would hurt the profitability of the organization that move would not be made. No different then the Jays. Your making it seam like the corporation owned by the OTPP somehow only focused on winning and that making money for the fund is secondary. It't not there are very few sports owners that are willing to lose profits for the sake of winning, and there are 0 sports owning corporations that are willing to do this.

MLSE seems to spend where they see returns (which is pretty obvious, actually). They spend on the Raptors when the team is winning b/c they know the basketball market can provide the returns on their investment.
I don't even need to mention the Leafs, who i believe were just named the most valuable NHL franchise.
But I think if they bought the Jays, they'd spend, but in a way where they cautiously increase the budget depending on the fan interest. I'm not sure with the current amount of revenue the Blue Jays attract and the attendance they currently have, MLSE would be willing to spend a whole lot. If they were owners right now, i'd imagine they wouldn't open the wallet just yet, and wait for the team to start projecting strong contention for a playoff spot before they jumped in and spent on a big-time free agent.

Did Forbes come out with a list of the most profitable MLB franchises?
Outside of attendance the franchise appears to be solid in all other streams of
revenue and before they benefited from the old CBA in revenue sharing. If Rogers
is barely making a profit or breaking even on the Jays I wouldn't question them.
Whats that old saying sometimes you gotta spend some money to make money?
A big signing with the proper timing could help them make a profit if it back fired
they could get out of it like they did with Vernon Wells or the Raps with Turkoglu.

Come on, the Angels did the Jays a huge favour picking up Vernon Wells which ultimately cost Peter Reagins his job. How many times did the Jays try to dump Veron on waivers without anyone picking him up?
How about Adam Dunn or Johan Santana? No one picking them up either. You can't make it sound like it's easy peasy trading away a bad contract.
The whole Turkoglu reference doesn't also apply.

Maybe someone should tell the Giants to get rid of Barry Zito, since you know, its just easy as **** to dump mistake-signing albatross contracts.

I have more baseball knowledge protruding from my rectum on a daily basis than you do in your brain. Stay away from **** you obviously have zero knowledge about. You embarrassed yourself in the Santos thread, kid.

Probably less cheap when it comes to high end free agents (i.e. Turk), that is not necessarily a good thing though.

Ya right your a white trash loser from London who's nothing but a Kool-Aid Drinking Sheep. Generic thinking posters like you are a dime a dozen.
I got owned in the Santos thread? lol Give me a break you jobber I'll go with the time
tested baseball adage philosphy and the numerous baseball writers that agree with me
then some fan boys who wear skirts and waive pom poms on the teams message board.
Go tell your local Curling buddies in London about all your baseball knowledge im sure they'll
be impressed.

Why is this board all of a sudden like the raptors board? These past few days have been brutal.

Also, Waylon, Met is probably tied with Shad as the most respected poster on this board. Just letting you know this won't end well.
