What a truly horrible contract.

I really don't understand these massive contracts for pitchers with pretty average peripherals.

Buehrle's solid but that's a hell of a lot of money. He's getting paid more than Bautista haha.

I wonder what Wilson is going to get now.

Pretty hefty. At the same time, their new ballpark features an extremely deep power alley in left...should work well for left-handed pitchers.

They got no tax there either. They shouldn't be backing up that much cash for Buehrle lol.

Source confirms reports #Marlins offer to CJ Wilson still on table, despite Buehrle agreement. #Angels, #Rangers are other two finalists.

This would give them Johnson, Nolasco, Sanchez, Wilson, Buerhle - pretty ridiculous starting five.

Marlins are just going for best name out there. They're probably paying him 20M the first year just for that play he did Opening Day last year.
