We've started a twitter/online campaign to sign Fielder!

Tempests_Dawn created a site called http://www.jaysfanswantfielder.com

It's a website which collects "signatures" to form a petition where Jays fans, who are also Rogers customers, pledge to cancel Rogers accounts if the Jays do not sign Prince Fielder. In return, if they do, we will be among the many who'll snap up Blue Jay tickets for next season.

We know that this likely won't affect the outcome, but as fans, we want to be heard, and we'll let Rogers hear it through the wallets.

This doesn't mean we'll stop being baseball or Blue Jay fans if Fielder isn't coming to Toronto. We just want to watch some meaningful September games, and maybe, games in October too.




Edit: I know we have a Blue Jays board, but the Raptors board is infamous for its power in numbers. We want to be noticed, we want to be heard.

You should cancel your Rogers services because they're scum, not to strongarm them into signing a player.

According to a bunch of reports and rumors Fielder said he chooses the Jays over two other ball clubs in the running..

Whether it's his agent posturing or not, I'm not sure.. but considering his dad played for our franchise there may be some truth behind it and the fact we have a boatload of money to offer him.. and we need a 1B or top DH..

Nice... didnt Manny Ramirez also wanted to play for the Jays last season but they also gave him the cold shoulder and he signed with another team instead?

Oh hell yea he's definitely worth signing. With him in the lineup we'll have an absolute offensive sexy lineup....damn, Escobar/Lawrie/Bautista/Fielder...and the rest....damn sexy!

Manny chose the Jays, we didn't want him despite the fact he's hit more career home runs in the Rogers centre compared to anywhere else on the road, it was only a 1 year deal too. TB signed him and he prematurely retired a few games in after struggling.
