Sherril is the best left handed reliever on the market, so he would be a great low level signing. The lack of LHP relievers that we have right now is going to cost us a few games next year.

Agreed he would make a good lefty for us, not sure I'm ok with just having Perez down there. Santos, Perez, Jansen, Sherrill and then 3 more RHP whoever makes the team.

I don't think we can afford Sherrill.

If you think like that, then we can't. It's not your money so don't be taken in by the Rogers con job.

Strong bullpen goes a long way, especially with a young and inconsistent (though talented) starting rotation. Go get 'em AA!

He's going to Seattle, looks like:
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/m ... _geor.htmlThe Mariners should be bringing relief pitcher George Sherrill back into the fold nearly four years after he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in the Erik Bedard swap.
A source confirmed today that the two sides made " a lot of progress last night" towards a one-year, incentive-laden package that could be announced early next week after a routine physical. As of today, the sides were finalizing terms of the agreement.
