Jose Bautista given 16 drug tests over two seasons

Dedicated to all the haters:
Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista says he’s been drug tested 16 times for over the past two years — more than five times as many than in the previous two years.
The Major Leagues’ leading home run hitter the past two seasons made the remark at a recent banquet, according to a report in Spanish published in the Dominican newspaper “Hoy.”
Bautista told the gathering that his increased testing for banned performance enhancing drugs coincided with his sensational two seasons of hitting home runs. Despite suggestions that he must be taking something for his newfound power surge, the Toronto third baseman and outfielder has not tested positive.

thats what HE said. no confirmation whatsoever. always cases of masking agents and HGH which I believe isn't tested.

Those things are tested for. Manny got pinched the first time for a non steroid that is used after a cycle.

I have no problems with him getting tested that many times, i think it's good.

Bautista could be on something, but there's no reason to single him out for this over any other player in baseball.

Until something has been proven, there's no point to even speculate, because none of us will know for sure.
What I do know is, if Bautista is indeed finding a way to do this without getting caught, I'm sure there are many, many other players who are doing the exact same thing. The players aren't stupid. It's not like Bautista has some secret formula that no other player can get a hold of. To me, at the end of the day, it still comes down to skills - and I believe that's what put Bautista ahead the past two years.
My gut feeling tells me he's not on any drugs though. Maybe I'm just naive. Maybe Booster Juice is giving him extra power.

I think this type of thing can only validate Jose's position as a great clean athlete. He has nothing to hide from so the tests don't matter to him.

He's probably on HGH. No big deal, everyone else is.
And I see no problem with testing homerun hitters extra. It was homerun hitters who embarrassed baseball last time.
They should all be tested by an independent body.

HGH is barely a performance enhancer, it definitely doesn't transform a journeyman into a 50 home run hitting superstar, no combination of synthetic drugs can do that. Its sickening to watch how much people have been brain washed by the media(mostly American) about PED's

Most people are stupid. Its like with Nuclear Energy, people don't have a **** clue what an atom is let alone how a pressurized heavy water reactor functions but they can write a thesis on safety standards without having the courtesy to even examine the primary documents. Thank God for the internet, otherwise the current generation would've been the stupidest in history due to this corrupt news media.

THIS. Clearly you are blind if you think at his size he is on any form of HGH or steroids you clearly don't know what your talking about.
You haters make me laugh.
Just give the man his due respect for two amazing seasons. This isn't GIambi, McGuire, Sosa or Clemens here Jose is a toothpick. He just has good swing form and exceptional swing speed.

joey is hardly a journeyman. he spent 2004 with 4 teams. his first season was 2004.

just saying, ryan braun is not a tank and he took HGH.
I doubt Bautista takes it, 1 of the 16 tests he took would have said something by now
