The Blue Jays had the AL's worst save-conversion rate (56.9 percent), so GM Alex Anthopolous remade the bullpen by adding four new arms (well, three and the return of Frasor after a late-season rental to the White Sox). A year ago the Diamondbacks' revamped reliever corps keyed a run to a division title; the AL East may be too tough for Toronto to win but a run at a wild card is possible.

You have to consider the record they will have and not just the talent on the team. Their divisions are weaker than ours so they will have better records. D-Backs line-up is pretty poor but they did win their division last year. Braves and Nationals have good teams (better than us) and I do not know enough about the Reds to have an opinion. They did pick up Latos though and I do not think they gave up anybody good off their major league roster.

They are probably going to put up better records due to inferior competition. Put those teams in the AL East and they are lucky to play .500 ball.

Why does everyone count out Boston? They have a great team, and they had issues last year and got 91 wins, so can anyone imagine what they can do if they put it together?

Nobody is counting them out, those teams listed ahead of them are simply better.

These analysts are flat out stupid. The Red Sox are the second best team in Baseball and its a joke to put the fricken Angels, Tigers or even the Rangers above them.

People are vastly overestimating the impact of offseason additions. The Rangers replaced CJ Wilson with Yu Darvish, that's not an upgrade at all considering what CJ did last year. Darvish is gonna have to put up one of the best rookie seasons of all time to match what Wilson did last year. Their most experienced and reliable pitcher is Colby Lewis who didn't do so well last year, that rotation is a huge question mark. The Tigers in a way replaced V Mart with Prince Fielder, that's probably not an upgrade at all. The Angels have major holes in their lineup and too many guys who are likely to be regressing rapidly.

The Red Sox on the other hand were on pace to win 98-100 games before September 1st last year. Yeah things went wrong in September but that was clearly a fluke, they're still a supremely talented club and other than David Ortize everyone on that roster is still in their prime.

Prince Fielder not an upgrade to V Mart? Dude, come on now your Prince hate is ridiculous. And how do the Angels have guys that will be regressing rapidly THIS season. Didn't Wells and Hunter stink it up last year already? Trout, Bourjos, Kendrick, Trumbo,, Morales(any contribution is progress not regress) can expect to stay steady. Your expecting their starting pitching to regress then? Same can be said for Lester and Beckett. Though I do figure Boston to be very good this year. Your reasons are just weird and unfounded.

There's no way that the Cards are better then the sox. They lost why they even made the playoffs.
