That's definitely not the 100 level. Article references there was a fight there too, but the video is in the upper deck.

And just never sit in the 500's for Sox and Yanks games, 'cause the douches come out like nobody's business. I love a nice 12 dollar ticket as much as the next guy (and I miss 2 buck Tuesdays), but the amount of retardation that happens up there just isn't worth it.

Doubt limiting alcohol will make much difference if fans are just coming into the game drunk.

I have never had any issues sitting in the 500 level and I have been there about 50 times.

This is a good a place as any to write this out:

Today I went to the game in the 100 levels (section 105), and there was a group of people taking pictures in section 106. It was getting really rowdy but in a good way. Everyone was turning to see what the ruckus was about, and as the people started to move away there was this drunk guy passed out in the seats. As most of the people taking pics are leaving this one guy decides to whip out his "thing" and plop it right on top of this kids head. It took me a few seconds to realize what was going on...

Just to say that crazy drunkenness happens in the 100's too

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

It's ridiculously stupid to fight at a baseball game to begin with, but it's especially dumb when you start brawling with a bunch of guys who have the high ground in a seat behind you. Idiots, the whole lot of them.

Classy. You can't really prevent idiots like that from attending Jays games, shame too.

I feel bad for those older guys a few rows ahead just wanting to enjoy the game.

...or the women and children probably in the same general area. If you want to fight, there's a couple of parking lots within walking distance.

I said this to my buddy today while watching the game, that when I have kids, there is no way I am bringing my kids to a ball game. And then he suggested the 500 level where literally no one was sitting. I think some people take it to extreme's and don't consider others around them.

That would be a pretty big overreaction. Maybe not bring them to a home opener when they are too young or something, but theres no reason not to bring a kid to a jays game.

Agreed. The other 80 games of the year this stuff doesn't happen.

I have kids and I take them to about 4 or 5 Saturday afternoon games. It's Junior Jays day every Saturday and there's special programming & promotions for the kids. I bet that there's probably at least 5,000 kids under 10 to those games. Pretty much the entire crowd is on good behavior.

I've been doing it for a couple seasons now and my kids love going to Blue Jays games. So bring them to those games and not to the home opener or Friday night games. Time and a place for everything and everyone.

It was a exaggeration, but it was just to make the point that some people are just ignorant and inconsiderate.

I have sat in 500s on Friday night, weekend games during the summer and I have witnessed altercations a number of times between fans that have had too much to drink. Usually it's some douchebag young guys doing stupid **** like throwing popcorn or other food at other fans, bothering girls with other guys, etc which eventually pisses people off and leads to arguments.
