I have it and also love it. 4 games streaming at one time, HD video, can't complain.

Totally worth it, especially when you're not affected by blackouts or you've got a proxy. I got the standard one, where you can't choose which feed you watch (they always show the home feed) but for $5 more you can pick home or away. It is super great.

I ended up getting it. It's hard to say whether it will be worth it for you but I'm liking it so far. It's nice to not have to frantically hunt down streams at the start of each game and actually have high quality streams. Being able to watch it on a smartphone is also a big plus IMO.

If things like MLB.tv and NBA League pass didn't have local blackouts I would sign up in an instant and cancel my cable.

The only thing I make sure I buy when summer comes around - MLB TV. I use a proxy so no blackouts and always have a game on one of my monitors.

I have it and love it. I usually have a game running on a side monitor while I'm working. For the Bluejays games i just stream through rogers on demand.

I bought it so its my first time getting to follow the jays without trying to see it online. The best thing about it is that you can use it off your PS3 and this year I guess its new on your Xbox so you can actually watch it on your tv. The quality is great, its nearly HD like a regular channel so I love it. Of course if someone else wants to see tv or something then you can always follow it on your pc and since its a smaller screen the picture does look full HD, on the phone its grainy but you really shouldnt be watching sports on your phone anyway.
So I for one think its more than worth it, the best value really out of NFL ticket ($300 for 16 games if you are only interested in 1 team) or NBA which is a little cheaper for an 82 game schedule (the online deal I bought last year was $99 for the year) and the MLB.tv thing being $125 for 162 games plus the perks that I mentioned above, great deal! I live in the US so I dont get to see any Jays games on tv unless they play at the Angels so this is fun.

Are you able to watch Jays opponents broadcasts? or is all blacked out here without a proxy?

Yeah you can choose either home or away telecasts. You can also have it hide the score so in case you missed the game you can watch it without seeing the final score at the beginning when turning it on. It has a marking system where you can see the timeline of the game and it shows every hit, steal, run, homer and so on. You can just have it to show runs and you can just forward events to just the runs if you dont want to watch the whole game. I dont know about the blackouts though, so someone else needs to chime in about that.

You need a proxy.

Also has the fantastic feature of letting you turn off the commentators and pipe in the stadium sound, really nice if you want to watch a game but not deal with the commentator fluf.

If you live outside of Canada MLB.tv is an amazing deal especially if you have a PS3/xbox/rooku or any of the other devices that lets you watch on TV

Unequivocally worth it.
I live in Japan and its still the same price (unlike NBA which charges a "Japan premium" for its service and never offered a discount for the strike-shortened season.
Options people have listed are awesome (home and away broadcasts, can turn scores off). You can also skip commercials to go to the next inning directly. And it was cheap to add the MiLB package.
Only drawback is that the don't play the commercials (which if you're passively watching and don't want to skip them all the time is annoying - better those than nothing) and they mute Jamie Campbell every time he is about to give an update on another game (OK, so that's a mixed blessing!)

That's exactly why it'll never happen. Sports are pretty much the only thing that are keeping Cable/Satellite alive. If people could watch their team online and cut the cable the business would run dry. Rogers and Bell will never allow it.

Yeah I'd probably get it if it weren't for the local blackouts. I don't have cable (cable is so 20th century

)
Then again, there's something about baseball on the radio, and I think Jerry and Alan do a fantastic job.

And the crappy thing is that nowadays it's fairly common for younger folks not to have TVs at all and get all their watching done on computers. I'd love some kind of deal where MLB.tv gives a kickback to Rogers or something when I want to watch games that are within Rogers territory, but that'll obviously never happen.

For me, baseball on the radio and summer go hand in hand. There are no stations broadcasting out this way on antenna. I've had some luck using squeezebox to pull in affiliate stations that forget to flip the switch and stream the games online. Not very reliable though.
No TV service ATM and don't really care for it.
