I say we split this series.

Yeah I agree with the split. Can't write off Oakland, they've been playing some good ball this season. Shouldn't be the case for the series after, but thats for later.

McCarthy would carve up this lineup

Hoping for a sweep, expecting a split. Considering the smashing they delivered to Rays starters this week, and that's Joe Maddon's Rays we're talking about, we can't totally write them off.

But then we play the Twins!

I really really want McCarthy on the Jays, McCarthy-Romero-Morrow is a real nice 1-2-3. Also very excited to play the "sound fundamentals" Twins that should be 2/3 easy.

McCarthy is a FA next season and I'm doubtful cheap Oakland will keep him. One of the many front of rotation starters available next season.

I would definitely be trying to get him out of Oakland during the summer, they have nothing at SS Hech for McCarthy? Then try and sign him to a long term deal, with his history I doubt he will be looking for a 5+ year deal 50M/4 with an option on the 5th. I think something like that is very doable.

We lose both.

Treadmill remains at 6.0.

McCarthy is no ace. He's got a career K/9 of about 6.00 and a career GB% of less than 40%. He had a good year in 2011, but I suspect he can thank his ballpark for a lot of that. There's no way I'd want to sign him long-term on the Jays (and I didn't even mention his significant injury history).

Money Ball vs No Money at all .. I say we come out with the Sweep, just have to see for Romero how our offense hits and for Morrow how his fast ball sinks. Morrow is our AJ Burnett 2.0 Feast or Famine.

Parker and McCarthy switched starts. Parker will go up against Romero.

Oakland sweep of the Blue Jays is now locked in.

We got this. Oakland is due for a letdown game coming home after being on the road for weeks and Ricky Ro just absolutely dominates them. Can't wait to see which Brandon Morrow shows up tomorrow...pitching in their huge ballpark certainly doesn't hurt...should be good!
