With all the jose struggles and lind hate, our boy rasmus is quietly having a worse year than last, and he sucked it up pretty bad last year. Any more hope for Rasmus?

There are 2 parts to this game. Offense, which everyone seems to focus on, and defense.
Think about how many runs Rasmus has saved with his defense.
There is lots of hope for Rasmus and no need for a change with him.

His offence will come. Hopefully.
I think we should get him to bunt more often though. He had 2 great bunts this year(i think it was 2)

I think he will do better when he's near the middle of the order, essentially getting more AB's.

Rasmus has been getting very very unlucky his swing has looked great and he is hitting the ball very hard. Using the simple BABIP formula his expected aBABIP should be around .312, hes currently hitting with a BABIP of .257. He needs to be a little more selective and get the walk rate up but his SO%'s are in line wth career norms. His ISO is at .151 which while low is close to the mark he set in his rookie year, in which he slugged .407. He is still young and is a few years from his power producing prime so I am still hopeful for power numbers closer to his 2010 season but those years could be in his age 26+ seasons. Overall I'm very happy with Colby if not for some bad luck he would likely be the 4th or 5th best hitter on this team.

After his 2006 season, most expected him to take it up another notch and that is why fans wanted JP to sign him long term. Unfortunately it didn't happen. Combination of injuries and god knows what completely ruined him.

Eh? You're implying multiple seasons that were especially good. He's had three or four good seasons in his career, and of those, only two were REALLY top-notch, and only 2006 really stands out as being really good. He was one of the best in the league that year, but really hasn't been besides that season.
I wouldn't called any of them except maybe 06 "ridiculously good," that's some serious hyperbole.

In early April especially you could see Rasmus getting denied singles and doubles almost every game. If anyone was going to be denied a hit on a line drive, it was Rasmus. He was really stinging the ball.
We're seeing him start to hit the ball now in the last week or 2 so let's wait and see. Defensively he's providing positive value for us. He's great to watch out there in the field.

His defence will cover for the slight offensive problems he is havin at the moment..I would bet his hittin will come around as some of the others have mentioned above he seems to be making solid contact just has to start hittin the holes.

I don't get people that demand Snider get 500 AB's in order to work through his problems yet have been completely impatient with a 5-tooler like Rasmus, give him the season and then make adjustments.

Ironically the exact opposite argument is equally as valid: Why does CR get a free pass for over a season and a half of subpar play, yet Snider gets yanked around like a yo-yo? As of now Colby is still living off of the hype of his rookie year.

Because he plays above-average defense at a prime defensive position. This is nothing new; above-average defensive catchers, shortstops, and center fielders are always going to have a longer leash and there will always be room for them.
