Igarashi definitely deserves a shot he's been phenomenal in Vegas, which is not easy to do.

There aren't really enough regular at-bats to go around for both Cooper and Gomes. Should be very telling to see who gets them.

I wonder if Cooper's promotion means McDade gets one, too. Probably not as I'd imagine Cooper's is only temporary.

This is a great move, two players who both deserve promotions. Cooper will hopefully be at least replacement level.

At least, now, we don't have to entertain the idea of trading for James Loney. We have basically a white version in David Cooper.

The Jays have all offseason to prepare for Lind's predictable failings and they provide Cooper/Gomes as a 1B replacement. Not good enough.

Perhaps rather than signing unnecessary (Oliver) and poor (Cordero) relievers, they should have been spending that money upgrading spots that matter. Doing so would prevent situations in which the Jays start low-ceiling place holders like Gomes and Cooper at 1B while they're still in a playoff race.
