Hutchison is coming off the best start of his brief Major League career. The rookie didn't allow a run in seven innings while striking out a career-high nine. He also upped his fastball velocity several notches by topping out at 95 mph.

Let's hope for 2/3. Isn't Bucholz a Jay Killer?

AA asked the Red Sox for Bucholz in return for Farrel  Gotta love him.

Also, I wish they'd skip either Drabek or Hutch with the day off, not a huge fan of throwing our 4/5 starters out there in a key division series.

Would you rather throw Ricky in ? Who always gets destroyed by the Red Sox.

This is one of those series' where the Jays could sweep or get swept and neither result would surprise me.

We need to start consistently sweeping these scrub teams. The last series was a good start.

I don't care what his numbers are. If I have a chance to put my ace in one over my 4th or 5th guy, I do it.

I'll be at Saturday's game, first one this year. Can't wait! Hopefully Drabek doesn't let me down.

i don't think either team will sweep but if Drabek can not sh*t the bed with walks, i like our chances in every game.

Kyle Drabek at home:

8.06K/9-3.51BB/9-2.30K/BB 3.02 FIP in 25.2 IP

After 2 terrible road starts I am interested to see if Drabek can maintain these solid stats at home SSS applies but if he comes out and pitches great I will start to maybe sort of kind of believe that there is something to these splits.

It's 'cause we have a man in black in the stands behind the plate who can read minds and signal to Kyle whether the hitter is going to swing or not.

The good news?
we're 0.5 games out of the wild card!
The bad news?
we're 1 game out of last place in the division.

very tempted to say that this is not the year to go all in.

I just want to see Drabek get through 6 innings and walk less than 3 batters. If he does that then I'm a happy man tonight.

Well, you're in or you're out. If we're out, we should look at deals for EE at the deadline because he's going to get eight figures in a multiyear deal to sign somewhere. Somebody might even offer six years, knowing the Jays ironclad limit of five.
