Yanks, Giants and Jays scouted Wandy Rodriguez

The Astros will listen to offers for Rodriguez, according to sources.
Interested clubs are aware Rodriguez could have two years and $26 million left on his contract beyond this year, if he reaches the performance bonuses necessary to trigger the club option for 2014.

my question is clear.... WHY?
i dont understand how an average pitcher like Wandy Rodriguez gets so much attaention from so many MLB teams. I believe its not the fist time either, and only reason he hasent been delt yet is cause Houston has a huge asking price on him.
why is Wandy so valuble?
