Snider must have punched AA's puppy or something.

I almost have to believe they're showcasing him because bringing him up right now makes absolutely no sense. His K rate is just too high and his power is too low (especially in Vegas) to expect much of anything from him in the majors.

As this would be a surprising legit call up, I wonder if it could be a showcase call up.

Blue Jays-Official @BlueJays

Bautista Update: no break, tendon injury, will have an MRI tomorrow to determine extent of injury

If he crashes and burns up here because he's not ready then what they will be showcasing? That would make no sense either. I just think AA is so dead set against Snider coming up (and probably Thames too since he's been given a couple of chances) that he would rather rush Gose up here then give those guys another chance. I can understand that with Thames but give Snider one last chance since he has a lot more potential.

Bautista always snaps his wrist/forehand everytime he goes for his HR swing though. nothing out of the ordinary there from replay.. maybe tendon fatigue over time, or perhaps buck was onto somethign about that slide earlier in the game

anyways, great to see Gose to come up instead of Snider.

I for one am really looking forward to seeing Gose up. I think he has the makeup to make the adjustments, and his defense will make a difference.

Poor man's Maybin has arrived and rushed just like Maybin himself.

I hope Bautista doesn't hit the DL, i have no interest in watching Gose @ the major level at this point..

Every time I see Jose do anything strenuous I sometimes cringe. He's not really fragile but every time he swings and misses it seems like he strains his back or when he slides or lunges for a catch it looks like he does it awkwardly and is gonna break something and I hold my breath expecting the worst.

Not sure, but I think Snider would have to clear waivers if sent back down while Gose doesnt.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

No, he wouldn't have to clear waivers. He's on his last option; it lasts through the year no matter how many call-ups.

Ah, but are we sure AA knows that?

Hey, if we're second guessing every potentiality before it even happens, can't I have a go at his basic competency just for poops and giggles? :D

Gose is not ready yet and Snider is as ready as he is ever going to get. Not sure what the organization has against Snider at this point. No one is expecting Travis to become a star anymore, but he is certainly better than Rajai Davis and at this point a far more realistic RF/LF option than Gose.
