Blue Jays Close To Garza Trade?

My friend emailed me this from Bluejays.com
Source: Two separate trades yet to be confirmed (AA to hold press conference at 4:30 pm to talk about the following transactions)
1.
To Blue Jays: Daniel Hudson
To Diamondbacks: Justin Nicolino and Mike McDade
2.
To Blue Jays: Matt Garza + cash consierations
To Cubs: Daniel Hudson, Brad Lincoln, Moises Sierra, and Player to be Named Later
I decided not to post this because I thought it was a mild rumor...
Then seen this Tweet from Incarcerated Bob (Who's supposed to be a good underground
Sports Trade/FA Signing news breaker)
Incarcerated Bob @incarceratedbob
**UPDATED MLB RUMORS**Source: Garza trade getting closer (Blue Jays / D'Backs / Rangers / Reds) all making offers today.
Has anybody heard anything on this as well?
Does AA have a Press conference scheduled at 4:30?
Would he have one just for the Snider/Thames trade or are they to minuscule?

soo essentially..
snider, sierra, nicolino and mcdade for garza?
surely we can get someone better...
im not against trading prospects but garza is a free agent and we are known for not signing guys to big contracts ...

If this is real I would rather just do the first trade and hold on to Hudson.

thanks missed that, if somehow we can get upton in that d-backs deal. we'd probably have to include gose in the deal. id do it.
garza and upton look good not only this year but next year too.

at the end of the day, id always trade prospects for a proven player...
snider is 50/50, sierra is eric thames 2.0 and nicolino and mcdade are a way from the majors.

I agree. I'd make that deal for Garza 10 times out of 10.

I actually don't have a problem if this is what it was. Nicolino is nice, but if it's Nic for Garza, you're happy. The other 3 are easily added for Garza. I luvs Snider and always have and very much dislike moving him away for Lincoln, but throwing him in as a piece to get a legit AL East starter is no problem IMO. Sierra is blocked and is behind others to boot and on his own would never fetch you anything substantial. McDade is another guy I really like, but the over/under on him actually developing into a playable 1st baseman is pretty slim.
And if I'm throwing in Sierra and Snider to go from Hudson to Garza, even though Hudson is under way more control, I do that in a heartbeat.
I wouldn't say AA came away looking like a genius if this plays out, but it appears I'd like it a lot more than most.

Yeah, it's plausible so no one's calling it out, but mlbtr doesn't have a sniff (of the particulars, like everything the Jays are "in on" Garza) that I can see and they even have ARI rumoured to be trying to add elite pitching.

only thing i see related is the jays asking for garza medical report last night, but AA moves in stealth so its possible. but the trade proposed is too detailed to be true lol
