I think everyone just really needed the day off to digest the Escobar debacle.

Alvarez is looking ridiculous so far today

I was thinking that he should spend most of next year in Buffalo, but if he can string some of these games together to close out the season, it would be a nice boost going into the offseason

Are people still insistent that Hech can't hit, and will never be able to hit?

people said a lot of things as part of their unyielding pro-Escobar propaganda..

You really think that is the reason? There were plenty of signs and scouting reports that said he will struggle to hit. I am very happy with the way things are starting to go for him.

I don't remember anyone saying he can't hit but it's not looking good so far. Hard to argue about his defense but one good week at the plate doesn't make him a good hitter.

nobody's saying he's a good hitter. the argument was can he be an adequate hitter and many dismiss even that possibility.

A. You obviously never paid attention.

B. The guy is a rookie, in his first couple months in the big leagues, and currently has an OPS higher than our everyday SS. Give him a little slack...
