"AA: increased revenues will go back into payroll, enabling Jays to pursue FAs they wouldn't have considered in past."
Flatjacket, i thought they AA can spend $$ whenever he wanted?

"AA: Revenues have gone up and those revenues are going to be applied back into the payroll."

"AA says payroll will go up: "It will. It will definitely go up. ... It's not a bottomless pit ... But it's definitely more to work with."

AA says Farrell will be back

"AA: Farrell will be back; "we need to focus on the roster."
"Is there any doubt in your mind that John Farrell will be managing this team next year? AA: "No.""
"AA on whether Farrell returns: "John is the manager of our club. I don't have a problem at all" with him returning on 1-yr deal."

AA says no coaching changes except maybe adding 2nd hitting coach.

"AA on coaching staff: "We don't foresee any changes." Not finalized yet."
"AA: We expect to return the coaching staff in its entirety. Like to finalize 2nd hitting coach sooner than later."
"AA expects coaches to be retained, not finalized yet. Still considering adding second hitting coach, will decide soon."

"AA: prepared to overpay for right FA pitcher "we believe in."

note 'overpay'

"Is Escobar still an "entrenched" player for next year? AA hemmed and hawed."

probably gone.

In sum:

- Payroll to go up definitely. Revenues went up and some will be applied to payroll.
- Farrell will be back.
- Coaching staff will be the same, might add 2nd hitting coach.
- Will "overpay" for starter that they believe in
- Leadership was an issue this year. One of the many issues.
- Ideally, a SP with options who deserves to make the rotation will start the year in the minors.
- Ideally, Hech and Gose both start the year in the minors.
- Dodged the "will Yunel return" question.
- On offense: Always looking to add on base ability and contact ability.
- Not opposed to adding a DH only player.
- Will strongly look to bring back Frasor and Lyon
- Never considered sending Romero to the minors
