Blue Jays fanpass information

Post#1 » by baulderdash77 » Fri Nov 30, 2012 6:04 pm

As most of you probably know, the Fanpass is the best deal that you can get for Jays tickets. It's $100 and gets you a lvl 500 ticket for every game except the home opener; It sounds like you don't get the right to buy a home opener ticket with this years fanpass. I've heard that they already have sold over 35,000 tickets to the home opener just from flex packs and season seats so that's probably why it's not included.

I got this email today regarding the fanpass. Changes from last year to this year include dropping the maximum from 6 to 2. Last year I had 6 tickets so this is unfortunate. When this does come out, they usually sell out in the first 2 days so you have to stay on top of it if you're interested.

Dear Fan Pass Holder,

Thank you for purchasing a Toronto Blue Jays Fan Pass last season. Please note that 2013 Toronto Blue Jays Fan Passes will be made available again in late January, 2013. Demand for the Toronto Blue Jays Fan Pass is extremely high and as a returning client, you will be offered the first opportunity to purchase up to a maximum of two Fan Passes per account, subject to availability. In order to allocate available passes fairly; the maximum of 2 Fan Passes per account will be strictly followed.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate specific seat requests. Passes will be assigned on a best-available basis and while supplies last.

In January 2013, you will receive a follow up email with instructions for your Fan Pass purchase at bluejays.com. Again, availability is limited and we will not be able to offer additional passes once the allotment is sold out.

Toronto Blue Jays Fan Passes do not include a ticket to Opening Night. If you would like a ticket to Opening Night, you may include that game as a part of one of our 2013 Flex Packages- subject to availability. Opening Night seats are selling quickly and are very limited. Flex Packages can be purchased at http://www.bluejays.com/flexpacks.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at the ballpark.

Regards,
Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club

I had 2 last year. I called a ticket rep last week and he told me that there is basically a waiting list for the Fan Pass as they anticipate all the previous holders to re-up. I am disappointed about potentially not going to the home-opener. I guess I'll have to try to get tickets when singles go on sale.

Regarding the flex packs, they say that if you pick a game during the season and no tickets are available, you get bumped to the next cheapest location. How does that work if the Flex Pack is for the 500 section? Or do they just assume they'll never sell out all of the 500 section?? I'm a cheap bastard and $120 for 15 games is doable, especially since I'll have access to playoff tickets, if we make it that far.

Can you get flex packs for the 500 section? Last year I didn't think you could do that. 15 games is probably good for me if it includes the home opener. That's every Saturday afternoon on the schedule plus the home opener plus one other game.

I just purchased the 20 ticket pack for the 500 level. It's only $200 for 20 tickets, a little more expensive than the 15 game flex pack. The plus side is that you can get more than 1 ticket to each game. So if you are going with a friend, you can get 10 pairs of tickets for $200. Less cost than purchasing 2 flex packs, but slightly more expensive per ticket.

Ah, cool. Didn't know that. I only saw the option for 15 game Flex Packs for the 500 level and thought I'd have to get 2. $40 cheaper for 5 less games... hmmm. Can't see anything on the site mentioning the 20 ticket voucher pack, though. Maybe it's not available anymore.
