List them:
1. Do not mention the man who must not be named ever (initials are AB). Never compare him to a Blue Jays player..EVER.
2. Dont get worked up over every Jays game, the season is a marathon not a sprint.
Keep them coming

3. click the "Raptors Forum" link directly above "New Topic"
ok if that's too harsh then
4. lurking encouraged, posting not so much.
(this doesn't apply to all raps fans obviously, but some. have read some really absurd things the past couple days)

Bring it Raps Realgm. If anyone has been to the Dome to watch a game, the people there are much more like Raps Realgm than Jays Realgm.
Edit: Just read thru the game thread and it's just like a Raps game thread. Posts like, "Loooooooooup." And then people bashing Lind before he gets on base to score, and bashing on Rasmus before he hits his HR, and finally after the W concluding we have the best pitching in the league. It's all the same, fans being fans.

I'm hopeful that Lawrie and Bautista don't become as injury prone as Andrew Bynum and Andrew Bogut.
I'm also hopeful that Romero hasn't lost his confidence like Andris Biedrins did these last couple of seasons.

Kinda OT, but all of those players have the initials A.B.
Like Andrea Bargnani, of the Toronto Raptors. Speaking of which, is Billy Koch still alive?

don't create a "can we sign this guy" everytime someone is released or sent to the minors.

Can we sign Manny, though?

My primary rule - one that I regularly fail to live up to - is that every thread should be a conversation rather than a declaration of unassailable opinions, so have your own ideas but actually read and respond rather than just finding the easiest way to shout out what you think. There is no weakness in having your opinion altered by debate. We all get carried away and most have strong opinions so we all slip, but I beg off the Raps board for the most part 'cause almost every thread I find potentially interesting turns into two (or more) contentious monologues rather than a conversation. To be fair, we do that a reasonable amount here too.
Second, no hate for stats please. Conversations in Baseball (IMO) are enhanced by statistical evidence backing your point, which is not meant to say that everything has to be about a guy's wOBA, xFIP, or UZR. A corollary has to be that if we do have some newer fans posting regularly us Jays board regulars will need to be a little more patient if someone tries to use RBI or BA or Wins or Saves in their argument. My guess is the bubble I live in doesn't actually encompass the entire fanbase, so I'll need to be a little patient in this regard when someone complains about a guy having a killer year who just happens to be hitting 250ish.
Other than that, just relax (probably even more apt for the Jays first fans). You can't say anything worthwhile about a Baseball team 'til probably 50 games into the season, maybe 30 if you want to get impatient, so soak this **** in for a month or two before getting too up or down about the squad and its performance.

Oh, also I would suggest (not a rule) getting familiar with this site, and what the stats mean. Makes for better baseball discussion, and understanding of the game.
