Devastating.

Wonder who we get to play SS in the interim and wonder who leads off.
For now, Istzuris/Boni will be the middle infield, but they need to at least bring in/promote a backup.

Game seems meaningless now. I don't even care the result, just wanna know what we are dealing with.

Already rumors that he broke his ankle...likely season ending injury if true.

Unless an outside option comes in, we could be seeing Ryan Goins, or Mauro Gomez....yikes.

It's bad enough that 'season ending' might be what we're hoping for. Ankles are resilient, but serious bad news if and when they do go.

Stealing 2nd.

He slid in, and his back ankle got caught behind him. When his ankle caught, it turned over on an angle that ankles and ligaments shouldn't.

It's bad.

Got a great jump stealing second, so good it looked like he was considering not sliding, last second decided to slide but came in so hard, late, and at a sharp angle (imagine a guy going for a pop-up slide) that the cleats on his inside (left) leg caught, the bottom of his foot was aimed back at first while his leg was driving towards second, and then his weight came down on it all.

I would be more devastated if this hadn't been so predictable.

NOW would be the time to panic. Or panace. Or whatever you want to call it.

The greatest irony? I'd been critical of Reyes going in head-first last week because of the possibility of injury. Then he goes in feet-first (though awkwardly) and does real damage.

Thanks for the clips. Looks bad. Now we'll never know how good this team could have been.
