Pretty self explanatory. It looks like the rest of the league is going to start having fun at our expense.

Good, they should. This team anointed themselves winners before they had won anything. Opening day was embarrassing.

Go away Cleveland. Nobody cares what you have to say.

On opening day, during the montage on the big screen, they showed interviews of players asking them how they felt when the big moves were made. Like seriously, they had players talking as though they were already champions. Players should be talking about playing hard. They shouldn't be celebrating big trades. I'm not blaming the players at all, but rather the Rogers marketing hype that totally didn't get you can't buy a championship, nor can you even buy a pennant race. You just don't know until you play.

Most of this stuff is way out of line, but I definitely felt awkward watching that Opening Day video.

And it's shown in thier play from the very first game. They had this attitude and played as if the other teams were just gonna lay down for them as they marched into the postseason. When they realized that wasn't gonna happen, they panicked and every player is trying to win games by themselves now. Add to that a coaching staff that is in way over thier head and a manager who is just happy to be employed again in the majors and it's a recipe for disaster.

Things they said that are not true: Buck Martinez is a great broadcaster, Canadians hate our health care system, and how the organization treated Farrell is a disgrace.

Well 2 of those 3. My kid broke his arm last week and we spent 8 hours in emergency on a day the hospital said was a "light day" when we were admitted. And spent 2 of those hours waiting to have a cast put on in a room in full view of about 6 nurses who talked about thier weekend activities and ignoring us until I asked for someone to put his cast on. And then charged me $35 for the plaster they used to put his cast on. Funny I thought that $800 annually I pay for a health care levy and the other endless cash in high income taxes and sales taxes would give me free plaster. Silly me.

Our health care system is a joke, just because it's gov't funded doesn't mean it's not broken and insanely inefficient and certainly not free. We pay thru the nose for it. But I digress. Back to baseball.

I would be bitter too if I lived in Cleveland and had to put up with the Indians regularly

The Indians are like a dynasty compared to the Browns. That team is Raptorlike in thier incompetance.

The more I listen to the talking heads on radio/tv and read people on forums, I realize what's really pissing everyone off is that they thought this team was good "on paper". So many people just misjudged things. I'm not sure I can agree that AA is excused because he built something good on paper. MLB GM's are expected to be better than anyone else at making these judgments.

The entire thing reeks of the classic American superiority complex. It's like they felt offended that a bunch of Canadians would ever have the gall to feel confident about anything, let alone their precious American pastime. There's also a disgusting level of ignorance being displayed in this conversation, but unfortunately, such comments are all too common.

Agree with some things they said but don't agree with their love of Farrel, He didnt want to be here and kept letting blowdero lose us games.

Ive said my fair share about Gibby and AA in other threads...

But these players man are the biggest bunch of gutless cowards I have ever seen in my
entire life representing a Toronto sports team. You could go up to them and slap them
in the face and insult their families and they would just stand there and do nothing
then take the field and lose 8-0.

I hope the 10,000 fans or so that go to games still start booing these clowns. They dont
deserve to wear "Toronto" across their chests.

Pretty much my issue exactly. Do they "route against" the Yankees and Red Sox every year when they spend money? Did they route against the Marlins last year? Are we not allowed to be optomistic about our frickin baseball team? I mean god forbid we try to build a contender we can show confidence in, we must keep bowing down to our neighbours to the south.

Also just lame cliches, "the ice hasn't even thawed yet" yaaa you mean like how it's 22 degrees and sunny here and Kansas City just got hit by a snowstorm? Guess I shouldn't expect anything better from these goofs..
