As for run differential everyone in the AL East is +8 or higher. The Jays are -56 second worst
in baseball. They are one of the worst teams in baseball. They are basically unwatchable
and its like a kid started a season with them on his Xbox and put it on HOF difficulty then deletes
the season because hes getting killed and starts a new season on rookie to make the games
more competitive. Unfortunately this is real life and we are stuck with this mess.
This isnt all Gibbys fault but being stubborn is death in sports just look at Colangelo and Bargnani.
They hired a coach who they fired last time for underachieving so this shouldnt be a surprise to them.
Also the coach that replaced Gibby got better results when he took over so I have no idea what
they are waiting for.
AA and Beeston need to man up and face the music. It was a real bad hire eat crow and move on
and make sure it never happens again.
Firing Gibbons will be a last resort for the Jays unfortunately because AA doesn;t want to look like an idiot and is still smarting over the Farrell fiasco. When even Gibbons said he was shocked at being hired as manager and that AA decided at the spur of the moment over dinner to make him manager then the jays were asking for trouble if things went wrong.
AA showed his inexperience by thinking this team would manage themselves and they wouldn't care bringing back a failed and recycled manager. Unfortunately wanting the team to manage themselves never works as you can see by our idiotic approach at the plate. A manager has to manage personalities as well as the game, something AA obviously thought wasn't important, which was idiotic when it was a team with so many new faces and who knew what the chemistry would be like. And not having any success on his managing resume on any level tends to garner little respect among his players.
