Bats are definitely going to have to stay hot here to have any hope. I'm going to be optimistic for a change and say they figure out a way to go 2-1.

not really worthy of it's own thread but i thought this was good for a chuckle or two. this trumps joey bats for cockiest bat flip of the year so far, except ball stays in park lol

its still hard for me to believe but the yankees are a good run scoring team they have 170 runs in 40 games (4.25/game) and they havent been struggling. the jays have 175 runs in 41 games (4.27/game) and they have been horrible until recently. in their last ten games the jays have 68 runs and the yankees have 48 runs. they have scored ten runs 3 times this year. the jays have scored 10 three games in a row.

if the jays can beat them now, it will never happen

Amazing (both the exceptional form on the bat flip and the responses after the catch).

The one thing that might prevent Buerhle from being destroyed tonight, the Yankees are pretty terrible against left handed pitching and their offence has been cold in May with a lot of hitters in fairly serious slumps. The Jays on the other hand are doing well against righties and their offence has been hot, they only face one left hander in the next 7 games, now's the time to keep this streak going.

If they can pull of the win with Buehrle out there tonight I think there is a legitimate chance of a sweep (assuming Morrow isn't too affected by his break).

But, I'm just hoping for two series wins here against New York and Tampa, which would get them within a reasonable distance of .500.

Buehrle's gotta keep the ball in the park tonight and live on the edge of the zone (which is always tough to do as the opposing pitcher in Yankee stadium).

Everything from that video is amazing. Even the helmet the guy is wearing is awesome.

another garbage lineup from Gibby though with JP batting 4th against a righty, just laughable, especially with Rasmus and Lind hitting pretty well

Sterling insight, Jack. How I miss Ashby. Actually, how I miss Hayhurst. Hayhurst >>>>>> Morris.

Imagine if we had Jose in the line up and leading off the way Cabrera is swinging right now.
