Cecil, Encarnacion, and Bautista all made the team. Cool.

Congrats to Jose for being voted as starter again.

I'm happy though EE was chosen, he deserved and was rightfully chosen to be an All-star even if back-up DH.

Let's vote Delabar as well he's shortlisted with other relievers for the AL. He has a good chance.

So happy for Cecil and EE.

Nice to have 3 all-stars, 4 if Delabar gets voted in. 5 if Reyes wasn't injured.

Wonder if EE will do the home run derby. Congrats to all 3 Blue Jays.

He already said no according to Davidi. Bautista said he would do it if asked.

Home run derby is so stale. I wish they would come up with something different.

I'm not surprised at the 3 who made it, but I am surprised that Delabar is a final candidate. Good for him... hope he makes it, although I expect it to be Koji Uehara.

As for the rest of the MLB, it's a tad surprising to see Stephen Strasburg not make it with a 2.24 era. But looking at the other pitchers that made it, Jose Fernandez would be the only one I'd say could be taken off for Strasburg, but Miami needed a representative. Evan Longoria and Josh Donaldson just didn't have room with the growing number of good 3B these days.
Good Lord, the little stoner's got a point.

LOL, what do you want a base running contest? a throwing contest? any other ideas would be nixed right away because of injury concerns. Considering that baseball players compared to Hockey and Basketball aren't the most skilled and in shape people, can't really do anything. When people first think of baseball they think homeruns and nothing else. Fine the way it is.

A format change is what I'm referring to. They tried something with picking captains, but that was a rather lame attempt.

they did AL vs NL, International VS. Americans. There's nothing much to do really. Just hope that this year they get Chris Davis, Miggy, Papi and may be Puig just for the fans.

Home run contest IMHO is stale as hell, they can select every pitch and the only guy that is excited is literally the annoucer "BACK BACK BACK, WAY GONE (even though if it just clears the wall). Have contest like throwing accuracy, throwing distance, 100 yard dash, etc.

They should have a coaching contest, whoever gives the best motivational speech followed by a team win, is obviously the better coach.
