Reset the rotation after All Star break

Game 1 against Tampa on July 19th our scheduled starter is Esmil Rogers vs David Price. Do you think this is the right choice? If it is the choice the Jays make , it is pretty bad that thoughts are our best starting pitcher when everyone is on extra days rest (except Johnson) is Esmil Rogers.
Dickey's last start was July 11th and he pitches well in Tampa, Buerhle has pitched well the last month and a half, so has Rogers obviously.
Here is the rotation I would like to see 2nd half.
Dickey
Buerhle
Rogers
Johnson
Redmond/Romero/Happ/trade
Are you fine with the rotation right now or would you like it reset?

Who could be "fine" with the rotation we have. Right now, Johnson is more worthy of pitching in Buffalo than Romero. I really don't want him around next season as things stand. I'd only go with the above as long as it takes Happ and Morrow to return. Redmond will turn into a pumpkin. We're stuck with Buerhle.
So by August, I'd like to see
Dickey
Rogers
Morrow
Happ
Buerhle
Johnson
If Ricky can string together another few good outings at Buffalo, I'd bring him up and move Johnson to the pen for long relief or spot starting. He'd hate that, it is a contract year, but injuries aside, he's had all kinds of chances to give us a couple of quality starts in a row, and yes, Morrow hasn't been much better but I still trust him more than Johnson right now.

Yep, if Romero has 3-4 more good starts in a row, I'd expect him back up in August.
I'd much rather see a guy like Sean Nolin or Marcus Stroman starting over Todd Redmond at this point.

I'm fine with Rogers starting since he's been our best pitcher lately. Jays can't have anything less than an 8-2 homestand.

I'm hoping Johnson has a good couple of starts to boost his trade value and then he's shipped off to a pitching desperate contender (Baltimore? Arizona? Dodgers?) for a half-decent prospect.

Don't be ridiculous. Josh Johnson is at no risk of losing a MLB starting job to anybody in this organization, especially a guy who can't throw strikes in Buffalo (Romero has a terrible 5.43 K/9 and 5.16 BB/9 in AAA).

Especially since, despite being tremendously disappointing thus far, Johnson has still arguably been one of the team's top two starters.
Out of him/Rogers/Dickey/Buehrle, Johnson is second in FIP, second in xFIP, tied with Rogers in SIERA, first in K/9, first in K/BB and second in WAR, despite pitching half the innings of Dickey and Buehrle.
Basically he's had some bad luck on his fly balls leaving the park and has not been able to consistently throw strikes which has driven his pitch counts up in many of his starts.
That accounts for the disappointment in his overall numbers versus what was expected, but still leaves him as unlikely as anyone on the staff to have to worry about his spot.

That is, flat out, just crazy talk.

Over the last 3 years coming into this year, Johnson has had an ERA and FIP of under 3.
Moving him to the pen or the minors is absurd.

Yes, but trading him shouldn't be.
I would like
Dickey
Rogers
Buerhle
Morrow
Happ/Hutchison/Drabek/Filler
I would be dealing JJ asap. We're not resigning him, so even as a type-A FA, it's not worth keeping him.

lol no. As other's have pointed out, this is ridiculous. There is no way Johnson should be in the minors or bullpen for this team, despite his relatively disappointing season so far.

The Jays will keep Johnson because he will either get them a 1st round pick if he leaves or he accepts arbitration and stays for one more year. The only incentive to trade him would be if the value they get back in a trade is better than 1) the value of an extra 1st or 2) the potential of bringing him back for one year if he decides to accept arby. If the Jays can trade JJ for a long-term 2B or 3B option (since they seem determined to put Lawrie at 2B), then it is worth considering. Other than that, no sense in getting rid of him for nothing.

I don't disagree with you, but just to play devil's advocate: JJ might accept his arby at this point. That's 15 mil that we could offer for a 3-year solution at 2B like Utley...

Or maybe the owners can continue to invest in the team and we can have both.

Cuban sensation Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez could be pitching in the majors soon, his agent told ESPNdeportes.com.
Jaime Torres thinks his client can help a major league team this year and expects to have the right-hander signed by next week.
"I do not think it will happen this weekend," Torres told ESPNdeportes.com. "But, fortunately, I hope to have an agreement for next week. While the more interested clubs are making their last internal consultations, we are working on the visa process that [Gonzalez] will need to come to the United States."
The Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, Minnesota Twins and Miami Marlins are among the teams interested in the hard-throwing pitcher, a source close to Gonzalez told ESPNdeportes.com.

This looks like a recent video. Almost every top MLB team is after him right now. Topped out at 94 MPH with a hard curve halfway through his outing. Started the game around 90-91, went to 94 then went back down after fatigue, which is normal. He also throws a cutter and changeup.
It's believed he could get up to a $60 million deal after only pitching to minor league competition in Mexico but since he's following the footsteps of Cespedes, Chapman and Puig it's only a given that he will get paid something.
