Morrow done for the season?

What began as minor pain he said he could pitch through, and then said had healed, well, it now may be season-ending, and they haven't even pinpointed a cause. King of like a metaphor for the entire Jays season.

Gregor Chisholm ‏@gregorMLB
Sounding more and more unlikely Morrow will be back this season. Still not feeling good, forearm will be reevaluated in near future.

#BlueJays haven't discovered anything wrong with Morrow besides inflammation. AA said more rest is needed and they hope it will heal.

AA sounding increasingly pessimistic that Morrow will return this season. Getting more tests after forearm soreness persists.

This team handles injuries so poorly!
It's like they don't know how to diagnose anything correctly

Couldn't agree more. Either they're getting extremely unlucky in getting mysterious undiagnosable injuries to their players, or there is a great deal of incompetence somewhere.

Blue Jays injury lingo and translations:

"Player will be out a couple days" -> one month
"Player will be place on the 15-day DL" -> 2-3 months
"Player will be out for a month -> out for the season
"Player is experiencing soreness" -> player's arm just fell off

It might be funny if it weren't so true...

and didn't J.A. Happ get hit in the head, but then his shoulder or elbow exploded?

Reyes came back ahead of schedule. and there are many other pitchers outside of the Jays getting lingering injuries too... Johnny Cueto, Josh Beckett, Clay Buchholz, Wandy Rodrigues... etc.

So, we got 10 starts out of Morrow this year? And this is the guy we're penciling in at the front of our rotation for 2014?

Apparently Dr. Andrews came up with a diagnosis yesterday for Morrow. It might have confirmed an earlier diagnosis. Some kind of impacted nerve.

Yea at this point the Jays can't even use Morrow's injuries as an excuse for the team's failure, the guy is made of glass and you can't depend on him. For 2014 they should basically contruct the rotation as if he's not going to pitch and anything he gives us is a bonus.
