Jays @ Diamondback Sept 3-4
I believe this is the first game all season that didn't have a game thread. Let's at least jog across the finish line.
Game 2 (940pm) - Redmond vs Miley
Game 3 (340pm) - Buehrle vs Delgado
Game 2 (940pm) - Redmond vs Miley
Game 3 (340pm) - Buehrle vs Delgado

Re: Jays @ Diamondback Sept 3-4
This is clearly Schad's fault.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

It's officially after Labour Day. A nice month of extended spring training and the hope that we can at least screw the Yankees is ahead.
With all that said, this picture still hurts

Imagine if Redmond weren't in there...

Re: Jays @ Diamondback Sept 3-4
I missed yesterday's game but saw in the play-by-play recap that Santos hit in the 7th and then Delabar came into start the 8th...
In this situation, why wouldn't Gibbons go to his bench and pinch hit for Santos when he's bringing in Delabar to start the next inning anyway??? Why would you have Santos hit at all in this situation? I realize he used to be a SS but there's obviously a reason he's now a pitcher

Save the pinch hitter in case it was necessary later/Arizona came back, rather than just burning him early. Or Gibby just wanted to let him hit.

Redmond with the hustle!
Gibby better call for a squeeze.
