Do they still wrap up the season with jersey-giveaways? Odds are you could end up with 4 or 5 if you decided to attend...

Actually, the attendance has been quite good, even for the second half of the season. Still please end the misery!

I checked out about a month ago... and naturally just assume everyone feels the same way I do!

Final series marketing: "The drive for 72!" or "72 and holding". lol.

Can't wait until the playoffs start.

I'd be ok with knocking the Rays out of the playoffs.
Also, should I be worried that I'm starting to talk myself into Moises Sierra?

Heh, guess it depends what you're talking yourself into believing he'll be. The walk rate is a pleasant surprise, as is the doubles power, but were his BABIP closer to par, he'd be hitting around .235/.303/.400.

Hmmmmmm... Yeah the past month I've been going through a move/new job type deal so my level of Blue Jays knowledge is that of the average Jays Talk caller, but I've liked what little I've seen of him this time up. I guess my thought would be I'd be much happier if the Jays spent much more time worrying about the starting rotation, catcher, and second base, and if Moises Sierra is our starting Left Fielder big **** whoop.
Yup, I'm a Jays Talk caller.

Yeah, I don't mean to say that he's useless; the doubles + walks mean that he could probably hack it as a fourth outfielder, and might be an option as a starting left fielder if nothing else pans out and Melky keeps Melkying. But between the BABIP and his minor-league numbers, he's still due for a bit of a correction.

I continue to like Goins defence, a lot, I can see maybe one Buffalo outfielder + Goins making the team next season as reserves, especially if Davis leaves in free agency.

It has to be Sierra the other two are just not major leaguers, and may never be I suggest trading them as best option.

If they are not going to be major leaguers what do you expect to get for them? They might as well play in Buffalo.

Talk about a quick hook - Maddon over-dosing on the 40-man roster again.

why would you keep someone in Buffalo if you are not expecting them to be major leaguers, the return is otherwise irrelevant as they are not worth much

Knocking the Rays out of the playoff would be the second best thing that happened this season after that 11 game win streak.

This wouldn't make up for all the pain and suffering the Rays have caused us, but it would be something.

So you trade them for another couple of Triple AAA players who won't make the majors? At least these guys might make it as reserves, they all have good athleticism, solid defence, good arms. I really don't understand the logic of moving them unless you expect to hoodwink another team into give you major league talent. A guy like Pillar has come up so fast you might want to give him more time at Buffalo to adapt to higher level pitching.

TB losing 7-1 after losing 6-3 last night, and looking tentative, even clumsy in the process looks a lot like a team with a collar size too small.

With a rays loss today, tomorrow should be fun. Throw an Indians loss today and it'll be even better
