Michael Pineda nailed for greasing ball - suspension pending

Post#1 » by dagger » Thu Apr 24, 2014 12:34 am

Pineda was caught with pine tar on his neck. Seriously, the dude telegraphed this two starts ago, wasn't caught, but made headlines nevertheless. Tonight, he was stupid enough to do it again. Umps nailed him this time.

A 10 game suspension is automatic.

This is the first time in 90 years a Yankee pitcher has been tossed for throwing a ball with a foreign substance.

10 game suspension, you say? We should all probably thank Farrell.

Funny that he's called out by the team with the greaseball that wears sunscreen in his hair inside a closed dome.

I say Gibbons calls out Buch this weekend. We'll see what happens this time.

Doubt it.

This sort of thing is common, apparently. It's actually the second time this year Pineda has used it against the Red Sox.

Oldest trick in the book, pine tar is. And, again, it's actually the second time this year Pineda has used it against the Red Sox. That's balls, cojones, couilles, or, since it's New York, the chutzpah!

Plain stupidity, inside his belt maybe? No, genius decides to glob on a bat's worth on his neck. Hope Bucholz gets nailed next, that would be gold. Umps should be allowed to inspect a pitcher randomly for a certain period of time once they have been officially busted and subsequently suspended.

Pineda couldn't have been so obvious without Girardi knowing. They should suspend him, too.
