Plain stupidity, inside his belt maybe? No, genius decides to glob on a bat's worth on his neck. Hope Bucholz gets nailed next, that would be gold. Umps should be allowed to inspect a pitcher randomly for a certain period of time once they have been officially busted and subsequently suspended.

Pineda couldn't have been so obvious without Girardi knowing. They should suspend him, too.
