I hate the Red Sox. Please win.

Happ vs Dubront in the battle of the mediocre lefties, and Hutch vs Buchholz is nice unless the latter sees his ridiculously bad luck on balls in play come to an end suddenly. And Buehrle vs Lester, well...Buehrle's success owes in large part to an unsustainably low HR rate. Better hope that all of that slumping right-handed power in the Sox lineup slumps on.

Buehrle's season turned around in Boston last season... Going around, coming around... something like that.

Boston usually owns Buerhle; hopefully that's not the case this go 'round.

AA sure loves his old croc AAA reclamations. Player to be named later? How about Methuselah?

Hopefully we'll see some of this from Mr. Bautista in the series against the Red Sox.

As a critic of AA, even i must admit that this is a great move to bolster this team's chances of making it to the playoffs for the first time in 21 years. You can never have enough excellent relievers out of the pen. I am sure the Red Sox and Yankees will not sit back after learning of this trade. A great day for Blue Jays fans who were worried that this organization was not commited to winning. A tremendous acquisition to silence the critics.

None of those pitching match-ups look very promising for the Jays, even with the way Hutch and Buehrle have pitched lately. Of course, that's why they play the games.

Trades rarely happen in the month of May. Mid-late June is more likely.

If the Jays are still in contention by then, I can see them making a trade or two to bolster the lineup.

We have been mediocre so far and have had luck on our side, with the rest of the teams in our division struggling with injuries.

Anything is possible... Anything is pooossssssssiiiiiiiiiiiibbbbbblllleeeeee!!!!

The sarcasm is strong with this post. It will no doubt not surprise you that the player to be named later is either Jose Bautista or Edwin Encarnacion.

So the Jays calling up Stroman was a complete waste?

He could have been starting if these idiots didn't use him out of the bullpen in the first place.

They've called up Rasmussen this time. Do they really need a third lefty out of the pen? Is Wagner hurt? What am I missing here?

So, Stephen Drew has signed with the Red Sox for $10 mil and the remainder of the season. Sorry to burst the bubbles of those that had a faint hope.

You're missing the part where AA is our GM.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).
