Did I hear Wilner suggesting Stroman may be getting Game3 in Detroit on #JaysTalk?

The Thursday start is going to be Verlander, no?

Statement series, do or die type of implications. You falter here in a 3 game scenario there is no longer a light to guide you through that dark tunnel you call a soul. We must succeed, the alternative is unimaginable.

You have to think game #3 is an automatic loss.

That's just unfair.

Verlander would really need to stick up the joint for us to have a chance.

Edit: Verlander has actually struggled the last little bit - Perhaps we are catching him at the right time.

Meh. Oakland's better than Detroit, so it's not any more significant than that series. Detroit's really good, but so are the Jays. Losing all three (or winning all three) doesn't change that.

How many wins would the Tigers have this year if they still played in the AL East?

Sanchez will be the toughest. But we've been getting to the other teams ace's recently, so hopefully it continues.

Watching ESPN's SportsCenter right now and the Jays are a lead story after the Kings/Blackhawks and USA Soccer. Gotta love it.

Whoa whoa whoa. This is my schtick. You're playing the suddenly overly optimistic poster. Get it straight, you're ruining everything!

Alex Gonzalez has managed the remarkable feat of looking like he's 30 years old from his debut in 1994 'til present day.

Tough games ahead how we do in those games will tell us a lot about this team

Going to 2 of the 3 games I love comerica park. Tigers are an extremely talented team but have hit some bumps in the road the last couple series. Hopefully our bats can stay hot.

I said something like this before the A's series. But I think at this point, we don't need to find out anything more about the Blue Jays. They are who we think they are. They deserve to be where they are. Now it's just a matter of staying healthy and focused from now to September. The two keys will be to protect Hutch's freshly remade arm, and get help for the middle of the rotation if it's not too expensive. No need for a Kent-Cone type deal at this point.
