I hate this team, their favourable Yankee Stadium calls, and their cheating grounds crew. Please win a damn game in this park.

i guess you missed their lackluster sorry excuse of an effort putting the tarp on the the field last night - consequently resulting in an unplayable field and a final score in the yankees favour. i don't for a second buy that the tarp wouldn't have been on the field sooner if it was the yankees who were losing in the game. and this isn't some 'man in white' type of conspiracy. several witnesses tweeted about how lackadaisical the grounds crew was after several minutes had elapsed during a torrential downpour where the tarp wasn't even near the infield yet, let alone covering it

Yeah, I didn't see that.

I remember being at a game at Fenway Park in 2005 vs the White Sox. White Sox were winning the game maybe 4-1 in the 3rd or 4th inning. It rained, so there was a rain delay. Then the rain stopped, and for 3+ hours there was absolutely no rain and they continued in a rain delay before finally calling the game. I really thought if the score was reversed, that wouldn't have happened. Irritated me, especially considering they showed nonstop 2004 World Series videos the whole time.

This is BLC's biggest test. Yankee Stadium is actually worse than the Trop. The Jays can't win a series in Tampa, but they can at least win once in a 3 game series or twice in a 4 game series. However, they can't win at all at Yankee Stadium.

Now would be the best time to end that streak.

In BLC we trust.

(Really hoping events occur that somehow lead to the thread "Apologize to BLC here," btw.)

Most of our final two months will have serious ramifications, really. Our remaining opponents:

Yankees - 10 games.
Boston - 9 games.
Baltimore - 9 games.
Tampa - 9 games.
Seattle - 7 games.
Houston - 4 games.
Detroit - 3 games.
White Sox - 3 games.
Cubs - 3 games.
Brewers - 2 games.

59 games total, 49 of which are against divisional opponents or playoff contenders. Of course, the run in for the others in the East is no less challenging.

All three Yankee pitchers look to be average, no one's a pushover but they're all righties so that's something. Mark Texiera who's been missing the last few games will probably be put on the DL and that's a good thing too, he's been decent this season.
